A rare-fandom is tougher to describe than a rarepair.
Since a rare-fandom is either SO rare it's unmistakably so, or kind of on the edge of popularity, and could go either way--no happy middle ground, it seems--I'm not gonna bust chops over it. Especially if you can make a good case for a fandom being rare. Whether it is or not, your Humble Admin admires ballsyness and blarney.

These links sort of tangentially give an idea of what is/isn't rare. Again, your Humble Admin isn't going to come after you for writing a fandom that's not rare, as long as the pairing is.
